Datang Microelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. (DMT), formerly the IC Design Center of China Academy of Telecommunications Technology (CATTIC), is a subsidiary of Datang Telecom Technology, Co.,Ltd. (short as Datang Telecom Technology with stock code 600198 in Shanghai Stock Exchange). As one of the largest IC design companies in China, DMT has accumulated comprehensive experiences in IC design area. With its highly competitive products and services, DMT has led the stable and rapid growth of the mobile communications smart card market in China for the past several years.
DMT has established one of the largest worldwide, highly complete and sophisticated smart card production lines from chip design, module assembling, embedding to card personalization facilities. Now, DMT is undertaking the VLSI (Very Large Scale Integrated Circuit) design project of the Chinese national innovation flagship project: Tenth Five-Year 863 Program, the Communications Oriented Multi-type Information Processor (SoC Platform) and accordingly has rolled out China’s first Communications Oriented Multi-type Information Processor – COMIP. This project is listed among the
key projects of the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology. The success of COMIP shows that DMT has possessed the state-of-art design capabilities. As a national lab for several national significant technology projects, DMT pays much attention to patent protection and has already applied for 100 patents of which more than 40 are granted. Among the grants, one is honored “Award For Outstanding Chinese Patented Invention” by the World Intellectual Property Organization and the State Intellectual Property Office, and another is awarded “Significant Technology Invention” by the Ministry of Information Industry.
Leveraging on the success in Chinese domestic market and exploring aggressively the global markets, DMT aims to be the world first-class integrated circuit design and application development company.
